On Friday, March 27, 2020, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act was signed into law. The result, Public Law 116-136, provides an estimated $2 trillion in government support to address the coronavirus public health crisis and its associated economic fallout. The law follows a previous $8.3 billion Families First Coronavirus Response Act.
REI Systems has developed a brief four-page summary of the 335-page law, beginning with the one-page legislative overview, and continuing with three pages that highlight portions that are of particular interest to the grant management community.
