Sterling, VA. – June 18, 2018 – REI Systems announced it was awarded a contract from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to re-platform the agency’s existing Acquisition and Assistance (A&A) planning module. The new A&A Plan application will be developed on USAID Azure utilizing REI’s Shared Government-off-the-Shelf (GOTS) platform to accelerate development, deliver the work product within the desired timeline, and produce cost efficiencies.
USAID is developing a management solution to enable the strategic planning, monitoring, and evaluation of USAID’s project portfolios and to support management functions known as the Development Information System (DIS). Under this 10-month contract, REI Systems will move USAID’s A&A Planning application onto the Microsoft Azure platform and will support USAID’s overall goal of unifying all the systems into DIS technical architecture. The re-platformed A&A Plan system will be developed on a technology stack similar to the one already adopted for DIS. REI Systems will deploy the A&A planning system within a three-month scope and will provide operations and management (O&M) support until December.
