REI’s very own Jeff Myers has written an opinion editorial discussing three actions that could improve open data programs in the federal government.
He writes, “Despite White House initiatives, agencies supplying open data still make all the decisions about what data to provide. The benefits from generating and using open data are great, and the Obama administration deserves credit for advancing this initiative in the U.S. government. But federal open data and transparency initiatives are really just entering the toddler stage…”
