REI ranks 7th on The Washington Post Top Workplaces List of 2016
Sterling, Va. – June 17, 2016 – REI Systems (REI) places 7th among large businesses on The Washington Post’s 150 Top Workplace list of 2016. This marks REI’s second year on the list and is several steps above their 11th place standing in 2015. The Washington Post’s Top Workplaces list spotlights private, public, nonprofit, and government agencies that provide a stellar work environment for employees.
The Washington Post Top Workplaces list is determined based on employee feedback compiled from an online survey distributed by WorkplaceDynamics. REI employees responded with highly positive feedback, showing their appreciation for the company’s investment in its employee-owners through professional development programs, an open-door policy, and a welcoming and supportive environment.
“Thank you again to The Washington Post for this award,” said REI President and CEO Shyam Salona. “And thanks especially to the employees of REI. At REI, our most proud and distinguishable asset is our people. This award, for the second year in a row, goes out to them.”
The award ceremony was held on June 16 at The Washington Post headquarters in Washington, D.C. On June 19, REI Systems and the list of Top Workplaces will be featured in a special Sunday section of The Washington Post.
