Sterling, VA – REI Systems is proud to congratulate the finalists of the 20th Annual Leadership Awards, presented by Women in Technology (WIT). The finalists include two leaders at REI Systems: Heather Morgan, Senior Project Manager for our Science and Technology department, who is a finalist in the Corporate Mid-Market Sector category, and Anne Marie DiNardo, Subject Matter Expert, who is a finalist in the Unsung Hero category. In addition, REI Systems is proud to support government agency programs led by two of the government finalists—Jennifer Gustetic, SBIR/STTR Program Executive for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and Vicky Niblett, Deputy Assistant Commissioner for the General Services Administration—who are important figures in public projects that REI Systems supports.

Heather Morgan and Anne Marie DiNardo have a history of providing the highest support on critical and far-reaching government projects. Morgan is an experienced project manager and a subject matter expert in grants management solutions and NASA’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program with more than 17 years of IT experience. She is an advocate for innovation at NASA; with her support, millions of dollars have been granted to businesses creating technology for interstellar missions. For the past three years at REI Systems, DiNardo worked on a number of mission-critical projects for clients, including leading initiatives for GSA regarding data center optimization. She is known as a mentor, both to clients and to her peers as an inaugural board member of Ignite, the first women’s forum at REI Systems. Even from the private sector, both Morgan and DiNardo have made an impact, reaching far in outer space and close to home.

From the public sector, Jennifer Gustetic and Vicky Niblett lead innovation and change initiatives in their respective agencies. As the SBIR/STTR program executive, Gustetic has made it her mission to rebrand her program to be more business-friendly in pursuit of the best results. She leads user experience improvements for small businesses seeking funding for their research, transforming the SBIR/STTR program to be customer-first and impact-driven. Also a pioneer of transformation, Niblett leads one of the most visible initiatives in the federal government—the modernization of SAM.gov. She puts innovation at the forefront by applying cutting-edge approaches such as open-source development, continuous delivery, and agile methodology, all while empowering her team with the freedom to solve challenges creatively. Niblett and Gustetic are role models for playing active parts in modernizing government.

WIT is the premier organization contributing to the success of professional women in the Washington, D.C.-area technology community. The Leadership Awards program identifies, recognizes, and celebrates women professionals who are leaders in the technology field and bring a unique vision and talent to the industry. The winners of the Leadership Awards will be announced on Thursday, May 9th, 2019, at the Sheraton Tysons Corner.
